Flanges

1.Welded neck flanges

  • Manufactured to connect the piping system by butt welding and is best for high pressure applications.

  • The neck or shaft transfers stresses from the shaft base to the wall thickness when butt welding, this provides an important edge reinforcement.

  • The bore of the flange matches the bore of the tube, this reduces flow turbulence and corrosion.

2. Slip on flanges

  • It is welded from inside and outside in order to provide sufficient strength to prevent leakage.

3 Blind flanges

  • Blind flange is basically a flange that does not have a hub or a bored center it is used to lock and seal the piping system or vessel openings.

4 Socket Weld Flange

  • It is a threaded flange which is similar to sliding flanges in shape, but has a cavity.

Valves

1- Gate valve

  • Gate valves are widely used in all application types

  • Suitable for above-ground and underground installation.

2- Ball valves

  • It was given this name because its body is spherical.

  • A ball valve is a flow control device which uses a hollow, perforated and pivoting ball to control liquid flowing through it.

  • It is open when the ball's hole is in line with the flow inlet and closed when it is pivoted 90-degrees by the valve handle, blocking the flow

3- Check valves

  • Check valves are one-way or nonreturn valves that open with fluid movement and pressure, and close to prevent backflow of the pressure.

  • It looks like a filter in Y shape.

  • It is used for steam and gases, as well as for liquids. It has less ability to hold impurities
